YEAR OF BUILD / FRAMENUMBER LIST HONDA SS50

Frame numbers with 6 digits is does not automatically mean that the model is before 1974. This series went on until around 1976. |

| 23xxx dates from 1975 and is the English model. This model has a maximum speed of 65 and 80km/hr. Frames with this framenumber will be hard to licence as a moped in The Netherlands.

Ik kan wel iets vertellen op bouwjaren. Als je een SS50 hebt met een framenummer beginnend met 2XXXX dan heb je een zogenoemde vroege machine. Veel zijn er niet gebouwd met dat nummer, dat geldt ook voor de CD. Hij komt dan uit 1971 en sluit aan op de CD50 die ook met een 2XXXXX begint en geproduceerd is eind 1970. De latere types beginnen met nummer 11XXXXXX. Ik heb een SSk1 met een goud kleurige tank beginnend met een 2XXXX en een CD eveneens beginnend met een 2XXXX. Van de CD komt soms het frame uit Japan 2XXXX en dat geldt ook voor de aller eerste SS50Z. Daarna zijn ze in Belgie (Aalst) samengesteld en speciaal voor de Nederlandse markt voorzien van een trapper mechanisme als mede de gele plaat en de snelheids beperking.
